460 Interchange Project The Blacksburg Partnership requests proposals from qualified development teams interested in the purchase of, or a long term lease arrangement for, property in Blacksburg, Virginia. The purpose of the request is to develop an office park site along the US Route 460 corridor near the Virginia Tech campus. The selected team will oversee the development of the property and carry out the vision of The Blacksburg Partnership and the Town of Blacksburg through a public/private partnership arrangement. There will be a two- step submittal process:
Step One - Submit a "Letter of Intent to Respond" including information outlining qualifications and a written description of the intended use of the property. Proposals will be received until 4:00 PM, Friday, October 1, 2010 in The Blacksburg Partnership office.
By October 15, 2010 The Blacksburg Partnership will send written notice to all applicants, informing them to proceed to step two of the process.
Step Two - Upon receipt of notification, selected firms will be asked to submit a response to the information identified in the Selection Criteria section of the RFP package. Completed step two submittals are due on or before 4:00 PM, Wednesday, December 1, 2010.
