Population Statistics
Montgomery County has experienced consistant gowth over the past several decades and had a population of 90,517 in 2008. The most recent Town statistics show that 68 percent of the county's population lived in the Towns of Blacksburg and Christiansburg, with the remaining 32 percent living in the unincorporated areas of the county. From 2000 to 2008, the county as a whole grew by 8.2 percent which was slightly higher than the national average. Current projections show Montgomery County's population growing to 103,244 by 2030.
